Why PDF instead of Word
A PDF looks the same on every device, can’t easily be changed by accident and is the expected format for applications, invoices, contracts and official submissions. A DOCX may look different depending on the Word version and installed fonts. Converting also lets people without Word open your document.
Layout and fonts
The conversion uses LibreOffice, which renders Word files very faithfully. Complex layouts, unusual fonts that aren’t available, or special Word features can occasionally shift slightly – check the PDF before sending. Since the document is converted on your device, contracts and personal letters never reach a server.
How to convert
Choose or drop the DOCX above; the office page opens automatically. Click “Convert” and download the PDF. The first time, your browser loads LibreOffice (about 77 MB); afterwards it starts right away.
