Why turn CSV into Excel
CSV exports from shops, banks, analytics tools or databases are plain text. As XLSX, you can add formatting, formulas, filters, charts and multiple sheets, and recipients can simply double-click to open it in Excel. Opening a CSV directly in Excel sometimes scrambles columns or special characters.
Things to watch
Data is split into columns based on the separator. Check that dates, long numbers (like IDs or phone numbers with leading zeros) and decimal marks were interpreted as you expect. Special characters display best when the CSV is UTF-8 encoded. Everything is processed locally, so sensitive exports stay private.
How to convert
Choose or drop the CSV above; the office page opens automatically. Click “Convert” and download the XLSX. LibreOffice (about 77 MB) is loaded once on first use.
