Why PNG instead of WebP?
WebP is a web-optimized format, but plenty of software – older image editors, Office versions, some icon or game tools – still doesn’t open it. PNG is the established lossless format and supports transparency just like WebP, so it’s the natural choice for logos, icons, stickers and graphics you want to keep editing.
Transparency, animation and size
Transparent areas are preserved in the PNG. Animated WebP files are not supported by plain PNG, so you get a still image. Expect a larger file: PNG is lossless and doesn’t use WebP’s efficient compression, especially for photos. If size matters and you don’t need transparency, JPG is the lighter option.
Convert in seconds
Choose or drop your WebP file above, PNG is already set. Click “Convert” and download. ImageMagick runs right on your device, so nothing is uploaded.
