Why CSV?
CSV is plain text with comma-separated values – the universal exchange format for tables. Online shops, CRMs, newsletter tools, banking software, databases and programming scripts import CSV far more reliably than Excel files. It’s also readable in any text editor.
What CSV doesn’t keep
CSV stores only cell values: formatting, colors, formulas (only their results), charts, and multiple sheets are lost. Usually just the first or active sheet is exported. Watch out for separators and number formats – some programs expect semicolons or a specific decimal mark. Check the file before importing.
How to convert
Choose or drop the XLSX above; the office page opens automatically. Click “Convert” and download the CSV. LibreOffice (about 77 MB) is loaded once and runs in your browser, so customer data isn’t uploaded.
