Vector vs. pixels
SVG is a vector format: shapes are described mathematically, so the graphic stays sharp at any size and is perfect for logos and icons on websites. But many places don’t accept SVG – social media, Office documents, messengers, some CMS uploads and email signatures. PNG is a pixel image that works everywhere and still supports a transparent background.
What to watch for
Once converted, the PNG has a fixed size in pixels and won’t scale up sharply like the SVG. Keep the SVG as your master file. SVGs that rely on external fonts or linked images may render differently if those resources aren’t embedded in the file. Transparent backgrounds stay transparent in the PNG.
How to convert
Drop the SVG file above, PNG is preselected. Click “Convert” and download. The SVG is rendered by ImageMagick in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
